Announcing The Way: a Foundation in Orthodox Christianity

Mondays, 6:30-9:00 PM
starting June 1
SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church will be hosting The Way: a Foundation in Orthodox Christianity. The Way will run for 10 Mondays, starting on June 1, at 6:30 PM. Each evening begins with a supper and leaves time for discussion after a brief presentation. The Way is for you if you want to understand and experience the foundations of Orthodox Christian faith and life over a short period. You could be someone who knows very little about the Orthodox Church but what you do know makes you want to know more. You may be an Orthodox Christian yourself but would like to experience The Way as a refresher course. You could be someone who really doesn’t know about God and “all that” but would like to know what sense Orthodox Christianity makes of your questions. Or you might have a friend to invite. Last time, we had a broad mix of participants — coming from near and far; Orthodox and non–Orthodox; young and old; some who knew a lot about Orthodoxy and others who did not. Everyone (including the instructors!) gained from the experience — even if they were only able to attend one session. If you or a friend are interested, please contact us.

Welcome to SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church!

Apostolic Christianity for Twenty-First Century America

The faithful of Saints Peter and Paul Church gather to celebrate the parish feastWelcome to our website! We are the only Orthodox Christian parish located in Meriden or its neighboring towns, bearing witness to the fullness of the Faith first delivered by the Apostles. If you are an Orthodox Christian living in the area, we hope to see you soon. If you are searching for the purity of the Apostolic Faith in a world where teaching, morals, and worship shift with each passing fad, come and see for yourself what Orthodox Christianity is all about, where we unswervingly hold to the faith “once-for-all delivered to the saints” (Jude 1:3).

Founded in 1911, we are a parish of the Diocese of New England in the Orthodox Church in America, under the leadership of His Grace, Bishop Nikon. In recognition of the heritage of the founders of the parish, we sing certain hymns in Church Slavonic once a month, but otherwise our services are entirely in English and people of all backgrounds are unreservedly welcome.
